As we all know “Content is King”.
Why people come to visit your blog, there are millions of other blogs out there with the same content you are providing in your blog. So for the first year of your blogging, publishing at least 2 post a week should be your goal.
In one year there are approximatly 52 weeks & if you publish 2 post a week then in one year your blog will have more than 104 article’s which is enough for a newly made blog.
You should make your article 100% unique from other, and never copy paste from other blog’s, other wise your blog will be banned by Google if you keep doing that again & again.
If you can’t publish 2 post a week, then try to publish at least 1 per week, and make your article not more than 1000 words & try providing everything to your reader’s.
4. Affiliate marketing
Affiliate program means earning certain percent of commission by promoting others products. Like you find a product, you promote it & if anyone buys that product through you then you earn certain commission from each sale.
When ever anyone makes new blog, their main focus goes for getting Google AdSense approval and start earning from there.

So your goal should be doing affiliate marketing in the next year rather than just using AdSense to monetize your site. This will help you boost your revenue by 50% more.
5. Attract new visitors
Attracting new visitor’s is really a difficult task & easy also. If you do it in right way then it is very very easy to get visitors to your blog. But if you do it in wrong way then it will be very difficult for you to attract new visitors to your blog.
There are many ways using which you can actually attract new visitors to your blog. You can do guest post in other blog’s which are already popular and ask for backlink from there.
If you have money and the content in your blog is good for users then you can go with Facebook Ads, it will help you get a lot of visitors to your blog within very short period of time. And cost are also very less in Facebook ads.
You can also attract new visitors to your site, just go to forum and tell people about your blog & tell them why they should check your blog. And when ever you publish new article in your blog then always share it in your social media accounts (i.e fb, insta, twitter, etc) in this way also people may come to your blog if they find interesting topic.
6. Article more than 1500 words
Hey we early told you that your article length must be more than 1000 words. But now it is now enough. Once your blog become old and start ranking on Google and have good number of daily visitors then try to make your article not less than 1500 words.
If you write article less than 1000 words, and a visitor came to your blog to see detail guide of something & didn’t find what he/she was actually looking for then from next time that visitor will say “Hey this site doesn’t provide full information” and will stop coming to your site.
In this way you may loose your many potential readers. So try to make your article length not more than 1500 words once your blog become 6 months old or so on.
7. Making backlinks
Backlink is a link provided by one site to another site. Like you are reading article on Wikipedia and found a link in the article which goes to another site, then that link is know as backlink.
There are two types of backlinks:
DoFollow: Dofollow backlink are those types of backlinks which passes the authority from one site to the linked site. Dofollow backlinks directly affect your site because they send sign to web crawler what type is the linked website.
NoFollow: Nofollow backlink are those types of backlinks which tell web crawler not to follow a particular link. If you don’t want a link to be crawled that you have provided in your site, then the crawler will not crawl it. Sites like spamy sites, adult sites & so on.
So your goal should be to make good number of backlink for your site within the first year of blogging. Backlink help a site a lot in ranking. So it is good to have large number of DoFollow backlink not NoFollow backlinks for your site.
Never buy backlinks, because it will affect your site rather than helping your site in ranking.
8. Updating old articles
Suppose you have written an article on “Best WordPress theme” in 2017 but now it has already become 2019, then of course now the Best WordPress theme is something else.
So your another blogging goal must be updating all of your old articles time to time. If you are already ranking on this on Google and if you keep on updating the article then there is very less change of you loosing the rank.
And this will help you get visitors repeatedly in your blog, because if a users have read your article in 2017 and he/she was satisfied with it then he/she may come back to see which theme is best in 2019.
So try to update your old articles also.
9. Plan content in advance
Remember those days when you just started your blog. You may used to write articles on the topic which comes in your mind or you many write article on those topics on which your competitors has recently written.
Now it’s time to change. Your another important goal to set is to start planning your content before you start writing about them. After your blog become old and have good number of visitors you need to provide your readers the thigh your readers are searching for. And you also need to provide detailed information of the topic your are writing about.
So for this you need maximum time to do research on that particular topic and then write article. That’s why you need to start planning your future content also so that you will not face any problem in future.
10. Making your site faster/ look professional
Whey you first start a blog then never go with making your blog look professional and like a pro. But you need a good theme at that time also. First thing you need in your blog is content. Because if there is no content in your blog then no one will come to your blog.
After your blog become old and popular then you may need to change your blog design. And you may also need to change your hosting if your present hosting provide is not good. Because if your site is slow and it has a ugly theme in it then visitors may not come back to your site again.
So this one also should be your another blogging goal to make your site faster and make it look like professional.
